Name: Lidija Ivanek – SiLa

Born: 1968. in Zagreb, Croatia

I was born in Zagreb, Croatia. I finished the University of Veterinary Medicine and for 13 years worked as a DVM. I am Christ oriented and by His guidance I started to paint. In 2007 art becomes my only profession. My artworks are made with acrylics on different mediums and I photograph, too. Lately I have been experimenting with egg tempera and pigments or pastels.

Abstraction is my way of expression. I use strong colors, wide brushes or palette knifes and fingers. Often I use a lot of red and black. I love to mix colors directly on the canvas. My horses have become a figure that people recognize as mine.

My artworks are expressions of all the events that affect me daily, and are a response of my soul to that, whether they are praises or prayers to God.My artistic signature is SiLa and I use it to sign all of my paintings as a gratitude to God and my husband Sinisa, who shares with me good and bad times.

Since 2008 I had several exhibitions in Croatia. I won prizes in different magazines with my photographs. In 2009 I was invited to exhibit in LA, USA, NY USA, Florence Biennial in Italy, and now Denmark.

I am a member of Daily Painters Abstract International Association.

As I love to work with young generations, I am involved in different art projects with High schools in my town.

The exhibition "Small Paintings" was in the gallery "Little gallery - Polanović" at the end of 2008. The photo exhibition and project "The Good, the young, the Individual" at the Gymnasium "Antun Gustav Matoš" in Zabok. You can see a movie on YouTube here.

Participation in the joint exhibition with the artistic section "J. Kaltnecker" from Zabok and solo and joint exhibitions at gallery "Lipa" in Gornja Stubica.

Ich bin in Zagreb, Kroatien geboren. Ich beendete die Veterinärmedizinische Universität und habe 13 Jahre als Veterinär gearbeitet. Ich bin Christus orientiert und mit seiner Leitung begann ich zu malen. Im Jahr 2007 wird Kunst mein einziger Beruf. Meine Kunstwerke sind Acryl auf verschiedenen Medien und ebenso fotografiere ich. In letzter Zeit experimentiere ich mit Eier-tempera und Pigmenten oder Pastellen.

Abstraktion ist meine Art des Ausdrucks. Ich benutze kräftige Farben, breite Bürsten oder Spachteln und Finger. Oft benutze ich viel rot und schwarz. Ich liebe die Farben direkt auf der Leinwand zu mischen. Meine Pferde haben sich zu etwas entwickelt dass die Menschen als meins erkennen. Meine Kunstwerke sind Ausdruck aller Ereignisse, die täglich auf mich wirken, und sind eine Reaktion von meiner Seele, egal ob sie Gott loben oder Gebete zu Gott sind.

Meine künstlerische Unterschrift ist SiLa und ich nutze sie, auf allen meinen Bildern als Dank an Gott und meinen Mann Sinisa der mit mir in guten und schlechten Zeiten herbeisteht.

Seit 2008 hatte ich mehrere Ausstellungen in Kroatien. Ich habe Preise in verschiedenen Magazinen mit meinen Fotos gewonnen. Im Jahr 2009 wurde ich eingeladen, in LA, USA, NY USA, Biennale Florenz in Italien, und jetzt Dänemark auszustellen.

Ich bin ein Mitglied der "Daily Painters Abstract International Association".

Ich liebe mit jungen Generationen zu arbeiten und deswegen bin ich in verschiedenen kü;nstlerischen Projekten mit Highschool Schulen in meiner Stadt beteiligt.

Die Ausstellung "Small Paintings" war in der Galerie "Kleine Galerie - Polanović;" am Ende des Jahres 2008. Die Foto-Ausstellung und Projekt "Die Guten, die Jungen, die Individuen" waren im Gymnasium "Antun Gustav Matoš" in Zabok. Sie können hier einen Film auf YouTube sehen.

Teilnahme an der gemeinsamen Ausstellung mit dem künstlerischen Abschnitt "J. Kaltnecker" aus Zabok und Solo und gemeinsame Ausstellungen in der Galerie "Lipa" in Gornja Stubica.

Rođena sam u Zagrebu. Završila sam Veterinu i 13 godina radila kao veterinar. Ja sam Kristocentrična i pod njegovim vodstvom sam počela slikati. 2007 slikarstvo postaje mojim zanimanjem. Slikam sa akrilom na različitim medijima, te se bavim i fotografijom. U zadnje vrijeme eksperimentiram sa jajčanom temperom sa pigmentima i pastelama.

Apstrakcija je moj način izražavanja. Koristim snažne boje, široke kistove, špahtle i prste. Često koristim crvenu i crnu boju. Volim miješati boje direktno na platnu. Moje slike konja su se razvili u pojam s kojim ljudi povezuju mene i moje slike. Moja djela su ekspresija dnevnih doživljaja, bez obzira da li su slavljenja ili molitve Bogu.

Potpisujem se sa SiLa na svoja djela kao zahvalnost Bogu i mojem supurgu Siniši, koji sa mnom djeli i dobro i loše.

Od 2008. sam imala više izložbi u Hrvatskoj. Moje fotke su dobile nekoliko nagrada u različitim časopisima. U 2009. sam dobila više poziva za izložbe (LA USA, NY USA, Bijenale u Firenzi, i Gallery Sigvardson iz Danske).

Član sam "Daily Painters Abstract International Association".

Volim radiiti sa mladima te sam zbog toga uključena u razne umjetničke projekte u suradnji sa srednjim školama u našem gradu.

Izložba "Male slike" održana je u galeriji "Mala - Polanović" krajem 2008. Izložba fotografija i projekt "Dobar, mlad, svoj" bila je u Zabočkoj gimnaziji "Antun Gustav Matoš". Kratak film možete vidjeti na YouTube-u ovdje.

Sudjelovanje na zajedničkim izložbama likovne sekcije "J. Kaltnecker" iz Zaboka i samostalna i zajednička izložba u galeriji "Lipa" u Gornjoj Stubici.
