Italy 2026 Road Trip — A Journey Through Four Cities
This road trip through Italy became one of our favourite travel stories of the year — a slow journey through Bologna, San Gimignano, Siena, and Chioggia. Each place had its own rhythm, its own light, and its own moments that stayed with us long after we returned home.
This post gathers the whole playlist into one place — a small map of our route and the feeling of each stop along the way.

Bologna — The Beginning of the Journey
Warm colours, porticoes, and the everyday rhythm of a lived‑in city. Bologna welcomed us gently, with slow walks, spring light, and hidden gluten‑free food spots. A calm, grounded start to the trip.

San Gimignano — Beautiful, Busy & Full of Life
San Gimignano was the opposite of quiet — crowded, lively, full of tourists even early in the day. But the towers rising above the hills, the stone streets, and the Tuscan atmosphere still made it unforgettable. A place where beauty and busyness meet.

Siena — Early Morning Peace
Siena was the calmest part of the trip. We arrived early, before the crowds, and the city felt almost sacred — soft light, empty streets, Piazza del Campo waking up slowly. A peaceful pause in the middle of the journey.

Chioggia — Little Venice at Sunset
We ended the trip in Chioggia, a quiet coastal town with canals, boats, and warm evening light. It felt like a more intimate version of Venice — perfect for slow walks, filming reflections, and enjoying the Adriatic atmosphere.

A Road Trip Full of Contrasts
Crowded streets and peaceful mornings.
Hilltop towns and coastal sunsets.
Busy squares and quiet corners.
This Italy journey wasn’t about rushing — it was about noticing the small moments in each place and letting the road unfold at its own pace.
