Krka National Park in Croatia
Visiting, after a long time, the beautiful Waterfalls of the river Krka was a thrilling experience. The river Krka is settled in the middle of a lush green forest and just a few kilometres away from the Adriatic coast. I took my Minolta with me and shot only a few thoughtful shots. It was a good choice to leave the LF camera at home. The crowd was huge and even with the Minolta it was a struggle to get a few seconds of peace. I even needed to stop the horde of tourist to finish the long exposure, 8 sec till the end. The path is wooden, elevated above the ground like a small bridge. Every step on that will shake your camera like mad.
Recently, I found that I am attracted to photograph people in the midst of the beautiful nature. My usually calm, serene images are disturbed with the reality. Like I can’t ignore the fact that my beautiful Krka is overcrowded with people, jumping into the water, standing on the banks of the river trying to take a shot, swarming all over, eating, drinking, puffing, panting… etc. That is the sight of the most natural treasures these days. Man!
These are real panoramic snapshots with the digital camera of the same scene.
