You are invited to the launch of HALFTONE Dublin‘s Fresh New Print Fair 2nd November at The Library Project.
I am one of the 80 artist exhibiting and selling at the Halftone.
HALFTONE, a celebration of the printed matter in all its forms, is an initiative by PhotoIreland Foundation, hosted every year at The Library Project. Running over 18 days this year, the fair brings together a large selection of works by over 80 established and emerging artists, showcasing Ireland’s exciting Art scene.
The Arts Weekend Kinsale is coming to an end. I had a photogravure demo and one of my paintings were in the Philip Gray’s gallery for the exhibition. All in all, I think it went pretty good and some happy ladies went home with a piece of finished photogravure print. I joined the event in the last minute but for the next time I’ll be better prepared (I hope).
Hi all! As you already noticed my website has the new look and the new very important part – a web shop, yay!
As we continue to go along together, you’ll noticed that every day I am posting new and interesting artworks on the web shop page. So, you need to revisit it. Prices are more then affordable. I do encourage you to invest and buy some of the artworks presented. The sizes are around A4 sheet of paper, because I love small size paper artworks and I think they are more easily to look at, touch, and enjoy. If you have the need for the bigger size prints, it can be done. Contact me and we’ll talk.
If you will be around Kinsale area next Sunday, the 13th of November, you can come and see me and my artwork at the Art and Craft Fair, Actons hotel, Kinsale.
I have returned from Zagreb a long time ago. It was a short trip, just to open my exhibition and do what else needed to be done. My exhibition about Alternative photography was officially closed yesterday. The goal that I set to myself for that exhibition was: “to remind art lovers and public that photography is much more than just pressing the shutter on digital camera, which then does all the decisions for you”. It is an art form that has 400 plus different technics to choose from, only in printing, not to mention choices of taking the photo. Decisions that only the author can make.
I am a bit tired from all the things that is going on in Europe today and it is hard for me to continue to press on with art, but…
I still think that is very important (for the society) not to loose all that options in photography (the art-form that I love very dearly), and that all the “weird photographers” as myself – that are loving and working with old historical processes – are a necessity in the modern era even more than before. The collectors who buy our work are equally important as authors. They finance the idea that they believe in. So dear collectors, you are an inseparable part of keeping the alternative photography going.
