There is a Zadar that reveals itself from above — a city of blue water, sunlit beaches, red roofs and the Adriatic stretching endlessly beyond the shore.

Last Saturday, I shared that Zadar with you from the sky, in my YouTube video Zadar From Above — beaches, coastline and the slow beauty of sunset.

Zadar Croatia from Above – Beaches, Coast and Sunset

But Zadar has another face.

It lives much closer to the ground.

In the narrow streets, in passing shadows, in faces caught for only a second, in an old car disappearing around a corner, in a hand resting on a hip, a bicycle crossing the light, a dog stopping to investigate the world, or a child’s laughter as they chase bubbles through the afternoon light.

This is the Zadar I photograph when I walk.

Not the postcard. Not the view from above.

Just little fragments of life — moments that appear and disappear before you have time to name them.

So after showing you Zadar from the sky, I thought I would bring you down to street level.

Welcome to another Zadar.
